Dumpsters are provided for disposal of waste for Parkside residents ONLY. All dumpsters are emptied Tuesday and Friday mornings.
Misuse of dumpsters by one individual creates problems for all. Fines of $100 or more per dumpster may be charged to property owner.
If the dumpster nearest your unit is full, it is okay to use another dumpster!

Dumpster Rules
Always:
- Securely bag your trash. This prevents your trash from blowing away when dumped on windy days.
- Flatten boxes. Over sized boxes should be taken to the transfer station. (see below)
- Close the lid. Otherwise the wind can blow trash and litter our neighborhood.
- NEVER leave anything on ground. We have to pay for someone to pickup trash and other items left on the ground.
Do Not:
- Leave trash on the ground or outside the dumpster. The trash will not be picked up by city waste management services.
- Overfill dumpsters.
Never dispose of the following items in dumpsters. See below for proper disposal.
- Gravel, rocks, sod, dirt, landscape bark, or asphalt
- Car Batteries, tires, rims, motor oil or other car fluids
- Building Materials such as: Boards, plywood, sheet rock, cinder blocks, concrete
- Appliances (stoves, washer, dryer, dish washers, microwaves)
- Furniture, Mattresses, bed frames
- Carpet or carpet padding
- Dead Animals
- Metal Objects over 1/4" thick
- Motor oil
- Toxic, flammable, or hazardous materials
- Over sized cardboard boxes
- Christmas trees (see below)

Christmas Tree Clean Up
Every year after New Year’s Day the Rexburg street department will pick up your Christmas tree at no cost. Place it in the area of the dumpsters or on the curb in front of your home the week following New Year’s Day. If the trees are too close to dumpsters they may prevent the dumpster from being picked up.
