Winter in Rexburg can be cold but fun!
- Each resident is responsible to clear the walkway from their front door to the main sidewalk. This saves us all money on snow removal costs. Ice melt products should be used sparingly and only after all the snow has been cleared away. Never use common Rock Salt! It is the least effective and most damaging to concrete and landscaping.
- Snow piles make great slides and play areas but caution should be used. Sliding into roadways is never a good idea. Also tunneling into snow piles has resulted in cave-ins and even the loss of the life of a young person in the area a few years ago. Let's not repeat this tragedy.
- When decorating for Christmas never remove the front porch outlet cover as they are required by code to be there. When Christmas is over please remove any exterior decorations as soon as possible. Understandably this may be after the ice melts off of them. Christmas trees will be picked up by the city to be composted if you will place them next to the street on Pioneer Road or near one of the dumpsters. Never put trees in a dumpster as they fill the dumpster quickly and are not composted.
- The clubhouse pool and hot tub are open all winter. Enjoy a swim and hot soak after being out in the cold!
Review the Winter Parking info.

Hoses & Frozen Pipes
To prevent hoses and pipes from freezing and bursting, remove your hose and shut the water off so the valve can drain. Hoses left connected can cause pressure to build up in the pipe behind the wall causing a burst pipe. To see how this happens CLICK HERE. Its the owners responsibility to cover the cost for these repairs. If you have a hose valve which continues to drip, click here to contact maintenance for repair as it may be covered by the HOA.
